Firm principal, Kimberly K. Haynes, is a graduate of Spelman College. She received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law, with a specialization in Sports and Entertainment Law.
As an entertainment attorney and business entrepreneur, Haynes brings a tremendous amount of experience and personality to the firm. She is a dynamic attorney who works with a variety of diverse clients in the sports and entertainment industries. As a hard working litigator, she encompasses the knowledge and dedication it takes in satisfying the needs of her clients.
She holds membership in both Louisiana and Georgia State Bar Associations. Ms. Haynes is involved in a number of professional and civic organizations, including Junior League of Atlanta, National Alumnae Association of Spelman College, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Louisiana Bar Association, Georgia State Bar Association, National Bar Association, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Black Female Entertainment and Music Executives.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Lauren McAlpin received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University Kentucky. After working for the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau for 2 years, Ms. McAlpin relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue her law degree. She earned her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School where she graduated in the top of her class, with honors.
During Law School, Ms. McAlpin was a member of the Moot Court team and was a semi-finalist in the Southern Regional Fredrick Douglass Moot Court competition. Ms McAlpin was also an active member of the National Black Law Students Association, serving as the Director of Social Action for the Southern region, and the academic and social action chair for her local chapter. She received numerous awards and recognitions in law school including: Cali Awards for Evidence, Advanced Transactional Drafting, and Health Care Law; the Sarah & Michael Salomon Scholarship Prize; and Southwestern Law School’s Exceptional Achievement Award for her work in International Entertainment Law.
Outside of the firm, Ms. McAlpin enjoys traveling, listening to music, and playing the piano.
Todd M. Johnson is a graduate of Southern University Law Center (SULC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, concentrating in Sports Law and Copyright law. While attending SULC, he won first place in the Nathan Burkam Memorial Writing Competition, a writing contest on the subject of copyright law.
Johnson is a dynamic young entertainment attorney who brings to the firm excellent negotiation skills and a tremendous amount of knowledge of the entertainment industry. Recently, he negotiated with Battery/RCA/Jive Label group, a subsidiary of Sony Music, the signing of a major recording artist deal with a local artist “Louisiana CA$H”, whose song is “Walk Wit A Dip”.
He is a member of the Louisiana Bar. Mr. Johnson is involved in a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Louisiana Bar Association, Shreveport Bar Association, the National Bar Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
